Canute by Thursday is hiring a Network Lead for the Founders Growth Club team

Do you want to help Danish scaleups grow and succeed internationally?

Canute by Thursday is the go-to partner for Danish scaleups in growth mode. We run initiatives that support founders and their companies on the journey towards international expansion. Our work spans five core areas: accelerator partnerships, public funding, raising equity funding, internationalisation strategy - and Founders Growth Club.

Founders Growth Club is a network for scaleup founders, designed to help them grow - personally and professionally. We connect ambitious Danish scaleups with experienced founders who’ve been through the journey themselves. It’s not about theory - it’s about real experience.

We’re looking for an Associate to help us stay on top of a growing number of activities and make sure everything runs smoothly. You’ll play a central role in the daily operations of Founders Growth Club, working closely with Caroline (Head of Network & Members), Lasse (Programme Lead) and Clea (Head of Branding and Communication).

The role as an Associate in Canute by Thursday

As Associate, you’ll take on an operational and coordinating role, helping us ensure that Founders Growth Club delivers consistently and professionally. You’ll work closely with the FGC core team and external partners to execute activities and create value for our members and the network.

You’ll also play a key role in screening and selecting the right people for The Club – both new members and so-called Growth Advisors. That means being comfortable taking intro calls, spotting potential, and building strong relationships from the first interaction.

Your tasks will include:

  • Helping plan and execute activities such as roundtables, FGC offsite camp, workshops with founders, matchmaking between scaleup founders and Growth Advisors, etc.
  • Owning the communication and follow-up process around each activity - including signups, reminders and evaluations
  • Screening potential members and Growth Advisors – reviewing applications, holding intro calls, and supporting the selection process
  • Supporting the team with practical and administrative tasks - and taking responsibility for the details, deadlines and hands-on elements that make the experience great for members

We’re looking for someone who is:

Energetic, structured and good at building relationships - and comfortable juggling many different types of tasks. Experience is great, but attitude and initiative matter more.

Skills and experience:

  • Experience with coordination, event planning or admin/ops work
  • Confident communicator - both written and verbal - with founders and senior professionals
  • Good at managing details and following up on tasks and deadlines
  • Perhaps you’ve worked in or around startups or scaleups
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken
  • Fluency in Danish is not required, as most communication within FGC is in English - however, a working understanding of Danish is necessary, as it remains the corporate language within Thursday Consulting

Traits

  • Structured and to-do list oriented
  • Outgoing and friendly - you follow up without being pushy
  • Self-driven and mature - but not afraid to ask questions
  • Practical and hands-on - you see what needs doing and get on with it
  • Curious and quick to learn - you can pick up new systems and context fast
  • You enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where no two days are alike

What you can expect from us:

  • A unique opportunity to work in the heart of the scaleup ecosystem and build a strong network
  • Real insight into how startup, scaleup and investor environments work in practice
  • A dynamic and varied role with lots of room to grow and learn
  • A workplace with high ambitions and low ego - where we work hard and have fun
  • Close collaboration with founders, investors and ecosystem partners
  • Full-time position based in Copenhagen (with flexibility to work from home)
